Saudi firm in talks to build $5-10 bln petrochemical plant in Canadian province: report

Alberta government is in talks with a private Saudi firm to build a petrochemical plant worth $5-10 billion in Canada’s main oil and gas producing province, The Globe and Mail newspaper reported, citing Dale Nally, associate minister of natural gas and electricity.

 

He said that the province negotiated with several petrochemical producers to expand its investments.

 

However, the top official has not unveiled the name of the Saudi company.
