Rosatom, Russia's state nuclear energy corporation, is currently in a competitive dialogue with Saudi Arabia to build a nuclear power plant in the Kingdom, said its Director-General for Middle East and North Africa Aleksander Voronkov.
He told Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that cooperation with the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) is among Rosatom’s top priorities.
The corporation is ready to support its regional partners through providing them with the Russian technologies and implementing their nuclear projects, Voronkov confirmed.
He added that the Middle East is growing actively, and witnessing an increase in GDP, population growth and living standards.
