Saudi Arabia's Shura Council reconstituted 14 special committees, during a regular session held today, Nov. 16, ahead of start of the first year of its eighth session.
Among the reconstituted committees are: Committee of Islamic and Judicial Affairs, Committee of Social, Family and Youth Affairs, Committee of Security Affairs, Committee of Education and Scientific Research, Health Committee, and Committee of Hajj, Housing and Services, the council announced through its official Twitter handle.
Also being reconstituted are the Committee of Foreign Affairs, Committee of Culture, Media, Tourism and Archeology, Committee of Transport, Communication and Information Technology, Committee of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Committee of Economy and Energy, Committee of Management and Human Resources, and the Committee of Human Rights and Supervisory Authorities.
All committees have a tenor of one year each, during which it will study the matters referred to them and prepare reports, the council said.
Meanwhile, the Shura Council also endorsed during its meeting the draft Saudi Central Bank Act.
