Al-Khodari names Saeed Al-Qahtani as deputy chairman, Ali Al-Obaid as audit committee member

Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co. named its board member Saeed Al-Qahtani as deputy chairman, effective from Nov. 16, 2020, until the end of the current term.

Al-Qahtani has been a member of the company's board of directors since May 7, 2020, and held several positions in SABIC, Aramco and the private sector, in addition to being a member of the board of directors and committees, the company said in a bourse statement.

In a separate statement, Al-Khodari said that the board of directors accepted the resignation of the board member Riyad Al-Kharashy (independent member), and appointed Ali Al-Obaid as a member of the audit committee from Nov.17, 2020, until the end of the current board term.

Al-Obaid currently serves as CEO of Noon Payments and holds vast experience in the banking and financial sector, where he worked for banks such as Saudi British Bank (SABB) and Al Rajhi Bank in the field of payments and electronic currencies, the statement added.

The appointment of Al-Obaid is pending approval from the company’s general assembly.
