Shaker names new acting chief executive as former CEO resigns

Al-Hassan Ghazi Ibrahim Shaker Co.’s board of directors approved the request of chief executive officer (CEO), Azzam Saud Almudaiheem, not to renew his contract as of today, Nov. 18, the company said in a bourse filing.

 

Almudaiheem cited that he will focus on his new role as a non-executive board member, which was previously assumed on Oct. 1, 2020.

 

Shaker's board of directors approved the appointment of Mohammad Ibrahim Abunayyan as an acting CEO, as of Nov. 19, 2020, based on the recommendation of the nomination & remuneration committee, the statement added.

 

Abunayyan has been working as a chief strategy & transformation officer at Shaker Group since 2017. Prior to this, Abunayyan held the position of director of quality management at LG factory. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Al Yamamah University.
