Saudi CITC issues rating indicator of telecom service providers for Q3 2020

Saudi Arabia's Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) published the rating indicator of service providers in terms of complaints received for the third quarter of 2020.

 

The total number of complaints amounted to 14,720 complaints in Q3 2020.

 

Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) accounted for the highest number of mobile voice telecommunications complaints in Q3, with a total of 30 complaints per each 100,000 subscribers.

 

It was followed by Saudi Telecom Co. (STC), Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily), and Lebara Mobile. Virgin Mobile tailed the list with 3 complaints per each 100,000 subscribers.

 

CITC noted that most complaints were about billing and financial obligations, and the lack of services.

 

As for fixed voice telecommunications complaints, Integrated Telecom Co. (ITC) topped the list with 55 complaints per each 100,000 subscribers.

 

It was followed by STC, Zain Saudi, and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Co. (GO). Mobily tailed the list with 12 complaints per each 100,000 subscribers.

 

CITC said that most complaints submitted against fixed-line service providers are related to providing services without customer requests, as well as objecting to bills and financial obligations.
