The “Made in Saudi” program will help small and medium-sized producers and manufacturers access markets at a lower cost and shorter time, Al Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Bandar Alkhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources.
Alkhorayef, who also chairs the Saudi Exports Development Authority (SEDA), added that the program would capitalize on the strong potentials of the Saudi industrial sector and the Kingdom is looking forward to expanding the footprint of its products to new markets.
Several major Saudi brands have global presence, the minister pointed out, adding that a strategy and a vision are being developed for the products that will be included in the program.
Helping medium and small-sized producers and manufacturers enter new markets will positively impact demand for domestic land plots and loans and will also spur activity in industrial cities, under the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), Alkhorayef concluded.
