The Saudization rate in the Communications and Information Technology sector increased to 53%, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Ahmed Altheneyan, deputy minister for technology industry and digital capacities at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
During his opening remarks at the Virtual CIT Job Fair, Altheneyan said a comprehensive program has been developed to empower women in the sector to increase their participation rate to 22.9%.
He confirmed that the national cadres are the capital and the main pillar of the development process, noting that the sector’s strategy includes a hub for developing human capital, bridging the digital gap, and empowering women.
The Future Skills initiative aims to build a sustainable model to bridge the gap in the digital skills of the labor market, as well as create promising job opportunities for nationals, Altheneyan said.
