Saudi Arabia's vaccination campaign starts today, health minister receives first dose

Tawfig Al-Rabiah, Saudi Minister of Health, receives the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine


Saudi Arabia's Minister of Health, Tawfig Al-Rabiah, said a male and another female citizen were among the first people to receive the early dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.  

 

The first vaccine batch was received yesterday, Dec. 16, according to the Saudi Ministry of Health.

 

On Dec. 10, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) approved registration of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in the Kingdom.
