Health Ministry says no mutated COVID-19 cases reported in Saudi Arabia

Mohammed Al-Abdulaali, assistant minister of the Ministry of Health denied the rumors that cases of infections of the new mutated COVID -19 strain were recorded in Saudi Arabia.

 

"No cases of the new strain have been recorded in the Kingdom so far. Studies are ongoing to inspect the genetic sequence of the virus," Al-Abdulaali tweeted.

 

The official called for the necessity of relying on the Ministry of Health as the primary source of information in this respect and not to be misled by rumors.
