The Saudi Ministry of Commerce called on the public to submit opinions and proposals via e-mail on the draft executive regulations of the anti-concealment law, until Jan. 21, 2021, according to a ministerial statement.
The regulation draft aims to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and protect the legal investor and the consumer from harmful practices resulting from concealment.
It sets up restrictions on concealment sources and the associated supply chains.
The ministry pointed out that the regulations draft determined the illegal tools of concealment practices and set criteria for appointing criminal investigation personnel, their powers, duties, and obligations.
The most prominent features of the draft include defining the procedures of reporting crimes and cover-up violations, and determining the rewards distribution regulations and dividing them between the whistleblowers, the statement said.
