The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) said that its inspection department reported 14,000 violations and 9,500 warnings in Riyadh's private enterprises during 2020.

The violations included hiring non-Saudis in jobs restricted to nationals, failure to provide the required healthcare or comply with the precautionary and preventive measures. Some employers also failed to open a file for their enterprises in the labor office or to update the enterprise data.

In addition, some employers did not pay wages, enabled non-Saudis to work in a profession other than the one stated in their work permits, or hired males in jobs restricted for females.

The HRSD confirms that it will continue its inspections to ensure compliance of enterprise owners with the ministry's decision and improve work environment.
