Saudi Arabia records 82 COVID-19 cases on Sunday; the lowest since March 2020

Saudi Arabia recorded 82 COVID-19 cases today, Jan. 3, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 363,061, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Today's number of confirmed cases is the lowest since March 13, 2020.

 

Recoveries reached 180, raising the total number of recovered cases to 354,443 (98% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 2,372, of which 358 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported seven new deaths, with the death toll standing at 6,246.

 

A total of 29,252 new laboratory tests were performed, bringing the total number of tests conducted in the Kingdom to 11.36 million.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 35, followed by Makkah (24), Eastern Province (7), and Madinah (5).
