Saudi GAZT uncovers 33,800 VAT violations in 2020

The General Authority of Zakat & Tax (GAZT) reported 33,800 value-added tax (VAT) violations in 2020, Al Eqtisadiah reported.

 

Violations included failure to keep tax invoices, tax amounts not being collected, absence of tax stamps and the collection of tax value less than the one approved.

 

GAZT confirmed the implementation of all tax regulations, including the imposition of penalties against non-compliant businesses.
