The UAE government adopted law amendments granting citizenship to investors, specialized talents and professionals.
On his official twitter account, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai said: "We adopted law amendments that allow granting the UAE citizenship to investors, specialized talents & professionals including scientists, doctors, engineers, artists, authors and their families. The new directives aim to attract talents that contribute to our development journey.”
He added that the UAE Cabinet, local Emiri courts, and executive councils will nominate candidates who are eligible to receive the citizenship, provided that they meet the specified criteria for each category.
"The law allows receivers of the UAE passport to keep their existing citizenship," the Sheikh noted.
