Saudi Arabia maintained its sixth position in the Agility Emerging Markets Logistics Index 2021, driven by its strong business fundamentals and organizational environment.
The Kingdom took the seventh position in the sub-index for local logistics opportunities, and the 12th position on the sub-index for international logistics opportunities, according to the report issued by logistics firm Agility.
Saudi Arabia stood third on the sub-index for business fundamentals.
The Index ranks 50 countries by factors that make them attractive to logistics providers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, air cargo carriers and distributors.
According to Agility, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states provide the best and most stable business fundamentals among the world's emerging markets. The list includes the UAE at the fourth position and Qatar at ninth.
China maintained its lead position on the index, followed by India and Indonesia.
