Saudi Nazaha continues corruption clampdown

National Anti-corruption Commission (Nazaha) conducted 490 supervisory rounds during the month of Jumada II 1442 (January-February 2021), and investigated 411 defendants in criminal and administrative cases.

 

The agency said on its official Twitter account that 65 citizens and residents, including 48 employees from the ministries of Defense, Interior, Justice, Municipal and Rural Affairs, Housing, Education, Environment, Water and Agriculture; Presidency of State Security; Food and Drug Authority (FDA); and Presidency of Meteorology and Environment, were arrested for their involvement in bribery, abuse of position influence, abuse of power and forgery.

 

Nazaha also indicated that regular procedures were being completed to bring them to justice, protect public funds, and report any suspicions of financial or administrative corruption through means of receiving reports.
