SABB appoints Tony Cripps as CEO, David Dew retires

Saudi British Bank’s (SABB) board of directors approved the retirement of managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), David Dew, effective May 23, 2021, the bank said in a statement to Tadawul today, Feb. 17.

 

Dew will also retire as member of the board, but will continue as an advisor until May 2022.

 

The board also appointed Tony Cripps as the new managing director, CEO and board member, effective 23 May, 2021.

 

Cripps holds more than 36 years of experience in the banking industry. He joins SABB from HSBC in Singapore, where was the CEO for the past four years. He previously led HSBC’s businesses as CEO in Australia and the Philippines.
