Yansab’s ethylene glycol plant maintenance continues for 3 additional days

Yanbu National Petrochemical Company (Yansab) said that maintenance works at the ethylene glycol plant are still ongoing, due to the need for additional repairs of some technical faults that appeared during the maintenance process.

The maintenance will continue for three additional days, compared to the previously announced completion date, the company said in a bourse statement.

The company will announce any material developments later, if any, the statement added.

On Jan. 26, Yansab announced that the ethylene glycol plant will be halted for 21 days starting Feb. 1, 2021, while the olefins plant will be shut down for only 10 days beginning Feb. 5, 2021, to carry out preventive maintenance work according to industrial and technical standards, according to data compiled by Argaam.

The company resumed operations at its olefins plant on Feb. 15, 2021.
