Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Passports announced the issuance of a royal decree enabling the Saudi citizens who are married to non-Saudi spouses to travel abroad with them or join them if the spouses are located outside the Kingdom.

In such case, Saudi citizens – both men and women – shall be required to provide the documents that prove the marriage relationship to officials in exit ports directly.

However, if the Saudi citizen fails to provide such documents to prove that their spouses are located outside the Kingdom and are not able to enter the Kingdom, they can apply for a travel visa via 'Absher' electronic platform and attached required documents.

On Jan. 29, 2021, Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior announced postponing the reopening of air, land, and sea ports from March 31, 2021 till May 17, 2021, Argaam reported.
