Turki Al-Sheikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), highlighted the significance of the entertainment sector in the fulfillment of the economic diversification, in addition to luring investments.

This, in turn, will boost the Kingdom’s gross domestic product (GDP), in line with Vision 2030, Al-Sheikh said on the sidelines of his meeting with chief executives of Saudi banks and a number of investors to discuss investment opportunities across Saudi Arabia.

He spoke of ways entertainment businesses can improve the quality of life, provide job opportunities for citizens, and boost the Kingdom’s position as an attractive entertainment destination regionally and globally by hosting the most distinguished entertainment activities.

Al-Sheikh also highlighted the promising investment opportunities in the industry, calling Saudi banks and investment funds to optimally capitalize on them. This will come through business initiatives and full-fledged financing programs to support small and medium enterprises in the private sector, in a way that will bolster sustainability and develop local content in the entertainment activities.
