National Gas & Industrialization Co. (GASCO) said it received a notice to be present before Seventh Judicial Circuit of Appellate Court on March 22, 2021, to consider the appeal by the Ministry of Transport on the initial verdict pertaining to its legal claim against the company.

In a statement to Tadawul today, March 10, GASCO said it would announce any developments in this regard in a timely manner, adding that the related financial impact cannot be currently determined.

In December, GASCO said Riyadh court dismissed the Ministry of Transport's legal claim against the company, Argaam reported.

The Ministry of Transport filed a claim against the company demanding a compensation of SAR 130.29 million for damages caused by GASCO’s gas tanker explosion in 2012.

GASCO in May 2017 received a statement of claim filed by the attorney general against the company regarding the explosion, which killed 23 people.
