The relevant authorities are currently developing an integrated consumer protection system and a mechanism for dealing with consumer complaints, along with strengthening partnerships with the private sector to address consumer concerns more quickly, Al-Madina newspaper reported.

This is part of the efforts to create effective and inclusive control to protect consumers, the paper added.

The system aims to detect any irregularities in relation to the consumers’ rights, and to protect against fraud, imitating, and disinformation.
