HRSD ministry maps out new non-discrimination policy: sources

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD) is working on a national policy for non-discrimination and gender equality, Okaz newspaper reported, citing unnamed sources.

 

The new policy is the first of its kind in the region. It is at an advanced stage, and awaiting approval.

 

The authorities recently applied a new mechanism, as per which all cases involving discrimination in the workplace should be reported and investigated.

 

The ministry is also seeking to apply gender equality rules in terms of monthly salaries and job vacancies.
