Saudi Arabia will continue to provide necessary measures to accelerate economic recovery, according to Minister of Finance and acting Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Jadaan.
The Kingdom has solid economic fundamentals, along with strong and extensive containment and support, to confront repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Al-Jadaan said in his speech during a meeting organized by the International Monetary and Financial Committee of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
He also pointed out that the Saudi economy rebounded in the second half of 2020 upon the return of economic activity, improvement in the non-oil sector, coupled with the decline in unemployment rate among citizens.
Saudi Arabia is committed to structural and economic reforms, in line with Vision 2030, Al-Jadaan said, adding that it also adopts modern environmental initiatives, like 'Green Saudi Initiative' and 'Green Middle East Initiative', to achieve sustainable growth.
