Shams dismisses acting CEO, appoints Ali Al-Selham as CEO

Tourism Enterprise Co.’s (Shams) board of directors approved a recommendation by the nomination & remuneration committee to dismiss Farid Ibrahim Al Sayed from his position as the acting CEO, as of April 11, 2021, while maintaining his position as deputy CEO for operations and finance.

 

Meanwhile, the board approved appointing Ali Abdullah Al-Selham as CEO, effective April 11, 2021, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

Al-Selham holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from King Fahd University for Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) and an MBA degree from University of Hull. He is also a member of Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).

 

He worked at several banks and has over 19 years of experience in risk management, banking services, operations, financial control, investment and internal auditing.
