Oil prices rise; WTI at $60

Oil prices edged higher on Tuesday amid tensions in the Middle East, and ahead of the US inventory data.

 

International benchmark Brent crude was trading up 0.5% at $63.65 per barrel, at 9.45 am Makkah time.

 

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose 0.5% to $60.03 per barrel.

 

The American Petroleum Institute is expected to release data on US crude stockpiles later today, while the official data from the Energy Information Administration is expected tomorrow.
