The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) issued a decision, allowing utilization of large areas of land located in the north of King Salman Road in Riyadh.

The commission said in a statement on April 17, 2021, that the use includes planning, development, sale, purchase, and delivery of all services to these land plots, to be in line with the urban code of Riyadh after its launch.

The decision is part of the series of ongoing measures and studies in various areas of Riyadh in preparation for the implementation of a strategy, which aims to develop the economy of the capital and qualify it to accommodate an increase in population by 2030.

The strategy is expected to contribute to the growth of Riyadh to become among the top 10 cities in the world in terms of economy, competitiveness and quality of life in 2030.

The resolution included many aspects aimed at developing infrastructure and supporting the provision of residential and tourism, which contributes to raising the city's attractiveness, regulating the urban environment, taking care of heritage aspects, and addressing the encroachments that distort the urban scene.

The commission announced the formation of a specialized committee to look into land disposal in Riyadh and perform related studies in cooperation with a number of relevant government agencies.

A unified call center was also established under the supervision of the commission and the committee to open a channel for communication with the public and to respond to their questions in this regard.
