Herfy appoints Khalid Al Saeed as acting CEO, Moataz Al Azzawi as chairman

Herfy Food Services Co.’s board of directors decided, based on the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee, to appoint Khalid Ahmad Hamad Al Saeed as the acting chief executive officer (CEO), effective May 1, 2021, the firm said in a statement to Tadawul.

 

Khalid Al Saeed holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Illinois University, in the US, and held many executive and leadership positions in Herfy. Most recently, he was Chief Executive Officer for Operations and Production. 

  

In April, Herfy’s board approved the resignation of CEO Ahmed Al Saeed, Argaam reported. 

  

In a separate statement, Herfy announced the appointment of Moataz Qusai Al Azzawi as chairman of the board (non-executive), and Waleed Khaled Fatani as vice chairman (non-executive member). 

 

The company also named the members of the remuneration and nomination committee, which includes Ahmad Mohamed Al Faleh (chairman of the committee), as well as Hussein Ali Al-Asmari and Morhaf Mohamed Alsamman as committee members.  

  

It also announced the formation of the executive committee, which includes as members Moataz Qusai Al Azzawi (chairman of the committee), Ahmad Mohamed Al Faleh, Waleed Khaled Fatani, Abdul Aziz Hamad Alraqeep, and the CEO. 

 

The appointment of the audit committee was approved in accordance with the results of the ordinary general assembly meeting (OGM) held on April 25, 2021. 

 

In addition, representatives of the company have been appointed for the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul), Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa). 

 

Secretary of the board of directors was also appointed. 

 

These resolutions are effective from the commencement of the new board office three-year term, starting May 1, 2021.
