10 things to watch on Tadawul today

Here are a few things you need to know as Saudi stocks start trading on Tuesday.

 

1) Almarai Co.’s board of directors approved SAR 6.6 billion in capital investments to expand the poultry segment, with the aim of doubling its market share.

 

2) Middle East Paper Co.'s (MEPCO) subsidiary, Jothoor Paper Manufacturing Co., signed a loan contract with Saudi Industrial Development Fund for SAR 150 million.

 

3) National Building & Marketing Co. signed a MoU to establish a limited liability company in the field of military industries, with a capital of SAR 100,000, in partnership with a UK-based company.

 

4) The Company for Cooperative Insurance (Tawuniya) received the Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) approval on insurance product for covering COVID-19 risks for Saudis traveling out of the Kingdom.

 

5) Saudi Cement Co. reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 119.4 million for Q1 2021, a 20% decline from a profit of SAR 148.5 million in Q1 2020.

 

6) Tabuk Cement Co. reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 7.1 million in Q1 2021, down 76% from SAR 28.9 million in the same period last year.

 

7) Northern Region Cement Co. (NRCC) reported a net profit after Zakat and tax of SAR 31.9 million for Q1 2021, a rise of 15% from SAR 27.6 million in the year-ago period.

 

8) Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance Co. reported a net profit before Zakat of SAR 175.4 million for Q1 2021, a 40% increase year-on-year (YoY).

 

9) Saudi Printing and Packaging Co. (SPPC) narrowed net loss after Zakat and tax to SAR 13.6 million in Q1 2021, compared to losses of SAR 14.9 in Q1 2020.

 

10) Brent crude was trading down 0.11 cents at $67.45 per barrel. WTI crude also fell 0.12 cents to $64.37/bbl.
