Edaa says CMA approves international central securities depositories instructions

The Securities Depository Centre Company (Edaa) announced today that the Capital Market Authority (CMA) approved on May 4, the international central securities depositories instructions.

 

These instructions regulate the linkage application process and its conditions, related center accounts, and additional general provisions, Edaa noted.

 

Through these changes, Edaa aims to develop a consistent regulatory environment with the international best practices and raise the capital market efficiency and attractiveness towards foreign investors.

 

The instructions will be effective starting from May 6, 2021, Edaa noted.
