Leejam opens two new Xpress fitness centers in Buraydah, Riyadh

Leejam Sports Co. (Fitness Time) opened a new low-cost Xpress Fitness Center for women in Buraydah and one for men in Riyadh, on May 16, 2021, it said in separate bourse statements.

 

The female fitness center, spanning 570 square meters (sqm), will operate under the brand “Fitness Time Ladies Xpress” and is located on Turki Al Autayshan Street in Al Muntazah District in Buraydah. The male fitness center, spanning 600 sqm, will operate under the brand "Fitness Time Xpress” and is located on Al Ahsa Road in Al Zahra District of Riyadh.

 

Both the centers will operate with low-cost operating model and without swimming pools, in addition to the male fitness center being opened 24 hours.

 

They will also be digitally enabled and with highly flexible subscriptions that start with a minimum commitment of one month and at a reasonable price, to make clubs and gyms more accessible to support the achievement of the Vision 2030 targets.

 

The centers will have high-specification sports equipment from Technogym, the leading brand in fitness and wellness products, services and digital technologies, and official supplier to the last seven Olympic Games as well as the latest designs for halls.

 

The company expects the financial impact of the launches to reflect Q2 2021 onwards.

 

With this opening, the total number of Fitness Time centers operating inside and outside Saudi Arabia stand at 133.

 

Further new centers announcements will be made in the coming weeks, the company added.

 

The opening and the under-construction Fitness Time Xpress projects confirm the company's commitment to its plan to expand into the low-cost gyms segment.
