Seera, Klook to set up online platform to support Saudi tourism

Seera Group Holding inked an exclusive strategic partnership agreement with Hong Kong-based Klook, a leading travel activities and services booking platform, to set up a full-fledged online platform to cater for tourism and entertainment activities providers in Saudi Arabia.

The new platform is meant to enhance the digital transformation process and boost the tourism industry growth in the Kingdom, according to a company statement.

Tourism and travel activities providers in the Kingdom will use the new platform to access global markets and contact the international travel companies. This will reflect positively on the local industry, so that Saudi Arabia can feature among the world’s top touristic destinations.

Touristic activities of Discover Saudi – a part of Seera – will be further revealed on the online platform.

“This strategic exclusive partnership will help eliminate the current gaps in the tourism industry supply chains, especially in terms of the online content and will focus on the limited technology potential, in addition to lack of passenger awareness,” said Majed Al-Nefaie, acting CEO at Seera.

“This deal will further buoy the Kingdom’s digitalization process and help attract local as well as international tourists,” he added.
