Saudi Arabia records 886 COVID-19 cases on Monday

Saudi Arabia recorded 886 COVID-19 cases today, May 17, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 433,980, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,127, raising the total number of recovered cases to 418,914 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 7,892, of which 1,377 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 12 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 7,174.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 281, followed by Makkah (250), Eastern Province (97), Madinah (63), and Asir (51).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 61,700 new tests, bringing the total number of laboratory tests to 18.03 million.

 

Almost 11.75 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in the Kingdom to date.
