Hydrogen cars tested for 2 years by some govt sectors: Saudi Aramco’s CTO

Hydrogen cars were tested for two years and proved to be suitable for the Kingdom’s climate and types of use, Ahmad Al-Khowaiter, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Saudi Aramco, told Al-Arabiya TV.

 

Hydrogen cars are available in the Kingdom, as part of cooperation with hydrogen car manufacturers, Toyota and Hyundai, Al-Khowaiter said, noting these cars are tested by some government sectors.


The Kingdom, being the world’s biggest exporter of energy in the form of hydrocarbon, can meet demand for hydrogen.

 

According to data compiled by Argaam, Al-Khowaiter said that Saudi Aramco will hold a “larger share” of the blue hydrogen market.
