Saudi ministry says 4 govt services to help SMEs boost factories' productivity, operational efficiency

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced that there are four government services to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) raise productivity and operational efficiency of factories, as part of the fourth industrial revolution applications.

 

The ministry said in a statement that this can be carried out through conducting studies and preparing digital transformation plans with a global partner, as well as providing advisory and financing services to employ the topnotch technologies, develop work mechanisms and raise the efficiency of operations. This also includes providing open-source cloud digital solutions for factories such as, archiving and project management, financial and administrative planning, human resources, and warehouses.

 

The Kamin program service, which is provided by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), aims to raise the SMEs' manufacturing capabilities through a package of training, design, and reverse engineering services, as well as support and manufacturing of prototypes and technical consultations for product development.
