Saudi Arabia’s national strategy for transport and logistics, which has been recently launched, aims to boost the capacity of local airports to over 330 million passengers annually, compared to current 103 million, Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), said in a press conference.
The new strategy aims to make Saudi Arabia a global transit center and increase international destinations to more than 250.
Better options will be provided for passengers through economical aviation locally and regionally.
Moreover, the new strategy will also improve the operating cost structure in the sector, which will in turn enhance ticket price competitiveness, Al-Duailej added.
