Saudi Arabia aims to work on increasing air traffic by more than three times, Al Arabiya TV reported, citing Minister of Transport and Logistics, Saleh Al-Jasser.

The Kingdom seeks to link its airports with more than 250 local and international destinations, as it aims to rise to the fifth place globally in transit traffic, he said.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman launched the national transport and logistics strategy last week.

The strategy aspires to increase the sector's contribution to GDP to 10% from 6% and boost its non-oil annual revenue to nearly SAR 45 billion in 2030.
