Saudi senior management employees working in the operation and maintenance sector are paid a minimum wage of SAR 9,000, which will increase in line with their years of work experience in the sector, Saudi Press Agency reported, citing Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD).
According to the Saudization guide for operation and maintenance contracts of government agencies, engineering and specialized employees are paid SAR 8,400 minimum, while administrative workers should earn SAR 7,000 minimum, as salaries of those working in operation and maintenance companies are subject to supply and demand.
Also, those entities that issue tender calls, should determine the minimum salary threshold for each profession, while ensuring the contractor’s commitment to these salaries.
The job hierarchy of the operation and maintenance sector comprises six levels, based on work experience and qualifications, including engineering and specialized professions.
In October 2019, Minister of Labor and Social Development, Ahmed Al-Rajhi, issued a resolution on raising the localization rates in all jobs generated from contracts awarded by government agencies and companies in the operation and maintenance sectors, according to data available with Argaam.
In December 2019, the minister issued another resolution approving the localization guidelines in the operation and maintenance sectors to unify the mechanism used in the implementation of the Saudization rates in the public entities, in addition to ensuring its efficiency.
