Shops and commercial activities are allowed to stay open during prayer times, according to a circular by the Federation of Saudi Chambers.

The decision aims to avoid crowd and long-waiting time, in line with the precautionary measures against coronavirus pandemic to ensure the health and safety of shoppers.

The Kingdom seeks to improve the marketing experience and services provided to clients, the federation said, urging to take the necessary procedures to organize work and provide services on a rotation basis among workers in order not to hinder workers, shoppers, and customers from performing prayers.
