Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior reiterated that the COVID-19 vaccination approved by the Ministry of Health is a must to enter activities, events and facilities, and use public transportation starting Aug. 1.

On its official Twitter account, the ministry indicated that citizens and residents must show their vaccination status via the “Tawakkalna” app to participate in any economic, commercial, cultural, entertainment, or sports activity. This is also a prerequisite for participating in any cultural, scientific, social or entertainment event, entering any public or private entity for review or doing business, and using public transportation.

The ministry stressed the necessity to follow preventive and precautionary measures, such as social distancing, wearing masks and regularly washing hands.
