Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, Saleh Al-Jasser, said that deploying top-notch modern technologies will boost the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub and enhance the quality of life in the cities.

The recently-launched National Transport and Logistics Strategy by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman seeks to implement the latest technologies in the industry, Al-Jasser said on the sidelines of the first Saudi Forum for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Al-Jasser expected the concept of the transport patterns to change due to the deployment of the Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies. He also estimated ride sharing services to grow rapidly in the next decade. This will require high coordination among business owners to lay out infrastructure and plan other regulatory framework to ensure safety and efficiency, locally and internationally.
