Saudi Arabia records 1,063 COVID-19 cases on Monday

Saudi Arabia recorded 1,063 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 2, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 527,877, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 1,620, raising the total number of recovered cases to 508,994 (96% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 10,624, of which 1,434 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 10 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,259.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 244, followed by Riyadh (217), Eastern Province (152), Asir (108), Jazan (88), and Madinah (70).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 98,860 new tests, and the total number of administered doses increased to 27.6 million.
