Saudi Arabia records 569 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 569 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 17, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 539,698, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 704, raising the total number of recovered cases to 524,765 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 6,502, of which 1,295 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported 12 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,431.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 132, followed by Makkah (101), Jazan (61), Eastern Province (59), Al Qassim (43), Asir (41), and Madinah (35).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 79,380 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 32.42 million.
