Saudi Arabia records 546 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 546 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 18, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 540,244, the Ministry of Health stated.

 

Recoveries reached 794, raising the total number of recovered cases to 525,559 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

Active cases totaled 6,246, of which 1,273 cases are critical.

 

The Kingdom reported eight new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,439.

 

Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 159, followed by Makkah (88), Eastern Province (56), Jazan (46), Al Qassim (41), Asir (41), and Madinah (30).

 

Saudi Arabia concluded 72,970 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 32.75 million.
