The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources carried out in July several field tours to monitor mining sites in various regions of the Kingdom.

The ministry detected nearly 116 violations of the Mining Investment Law in 48 sites, and the appropriate action was taken, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Those who work without regulatory licenses make up the largest number of violations, the ministry said.

The Eastern region accounted for the largest number of violations with 35, followed by Riyadh (32), Al Qassim (19), and Makkah (16).
