Saudi Arabia recorded 384 COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 22, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 541,994, the Ministry of Health stated.
Recoveries reached 737, raising the total number of recovered cases to 528,636 (97% of total COVID-19 cases).
Active cases totaled 4,877, of which 1,156 cases are critical.
The Kingdom reported 12 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 8,481.
Riyadh reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 134, followed by Makkah (62), Eastern Province (37), Jazan (31), Al Qassim (30), Asir (23), and Madinah (21).
Saudi Arabia concluded 58,800 new tests over the last 24 hours, and the total number of administered doses increased to 33.9 million.
