Saudi Arabia ranks first in Middle East in IoT coverage: Official

Saudi Arabia reported a 90% coverage of the Internet of Things (IoT) and was ranked first in terms of coverage in the Middle East region, Al Arabiya TV reported, citing Mohammed Al-Tamimi, Governor of Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

 

This coverage enables investors to create digital solutions for government entities or private sector institutions, he added.

 

During his speech, on Aug. 24, at the Digital Technology Forum, Al-Tamimi said the local IoT market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of up to 26% by 2025, Argaam reported.
