Ahmed Darwish, Chief Administrative Officer at The Red Sea Development Co. (TRSDC), said the next phase of the Red Sea project includes resorts, villas and hotel rooms, CNBC Arabia TV channel reported.

He expects the company to accelerate implementation of this phase over the next period.

The infrastructure and related equipment make up for the biggest completion percentage of the company's projects, Darwish added. "The value of contracts to be awarded to companies over the coming period would reach approximately SAR 1 billion monthly."

According to data compiled by Argaam, the Red Sea project, when completed in 2030, will consist of 50 resorts and hotels, providing up to 8,000 hotel rooms and about 1,300 residential properties, spread over 22 islands and six internal sites.

The destination will also include luxury marinas, golf courses, recreation facilities, and many more.
