Saudi Arabia will implement the decision to localize education sector jobs in private and international schools as of today, Sept. 1.

The decision will be applied to Saudi teachers who earn a monthly salary – recorded in the social insurance – of SAR 5,000 minimum for a Bachelor’s degree holder or equivalent.

The decision further aims to increase Saudization rates in private schools in disciplines, including secondary teachers of Arabic language, foreign language, sociology, family education, business administration, economics, accounting, biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, health and physical education, computer, programming, Islamic studies and others.

Professions targeted by the decision in the international schools include secondary teachers of Arabic language, family education, sociology, Islamic studies, arts and art education; middle school teachers of Arabic language, health and physical education, Islamic studies, social studies; and elementary teachers of family studies and art education.

The decision will be applied to workers in the professions stipulated in the detailed schedule for Saudization-targeted professions, and should not contradict other rates which are applied to all employees in the establishment according to Nitaqat program.
